New 700 Ha. Industrial Zone in Bau Bang, Binh Duong Proposed by Ministry of Planning and Investment

Vietnamese Prime Minister agreed with the Ministry of Planning and Investment's proposal to adjust the development planning of industrial zones in Binh Duong province.

In detail, the Prime Minister agreed to reduce the area of ​​141 hectares in the North and 120 hectares in the West, adding an area of ​​261 hectares to the East of Vietnam - Singapore III Industrial Zone. The Location of Vietnam - Singapore III industrial zone after the adjustment is in Hoi Nghia commune, Tan Uyen Town, and Tan Lap commune, Bac Tan Uyen District, Binh Duong province.


The proposal will remove Cay Truong industrial zone of 700ha in Cay Truong II commune, Bau Bang district from the development plan. Moreover, it will add Cay Truong industrial zone of ​​700 ha in Cay Truong II commune and Lai Uyen town, Bau Bang district, Binh Duong province to the industrial zones development plan.


Other industrial zones in Binh Duong included in the planning for the Development of Industrial zones in Vietnam to 2020, approved in Official Letter No. 173 / TTg-KTN dated January 28, 2016 by the Prime Minister remain unchanged.


The Prime Minister asked the People's Committee of Binh Duong to take responsibility for the accuracy of reported data; determine the location of the industrial park planning and acreage scale, the proposed position of adjustment, and supplementation for the planning of Vietnam - Singapore III and Cay Truong industrial zones.


The People's Committee of Binh Duong is also in charge of the suitability, feasibility, linkage, synchronization, inheritance, and integration of the plan to develop the system of industrial zones in the province in the provincial planning content for the period 2021 - 2030, according to the regulations of law on planning. The Committee is required to ensure that disputes and complaints do not occur during the implementation of the plan as well as obtain comments from ministries, branches, and the Ministry of Planning and Investment.


The Prime Minister also directed relevant agencies to update the demands of land use of Vietnam - Singapore III and Cay Truong industrial zones with appropriate district plans for implementation. They also need to work with Vietnam Rubber Industry Group and appropriate ministries and branches to adjust its land use plan by the law.
